Hastings Technology Metals Limited, formerly know as Hastings Rare Metals, is an Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed company with the primary focus of investing in the resource sector through direct tenement acquisition, joint ventures, farm in arrangements and new project generation.

Hastings Rare Metals and Heavy Rare Earths Projects

The Brockman Project (the Project) is Australia’s largest Heavy Rare Earths (HREO) Project, containing significant Dysprosium and Yttrium plus rare metals Niobium and Zirconium resources. The Project is 100% owned by Hastings Technology Metals Limited.

The drilling completed at the Project site to date has resulted in the definition of JORC compliant resources of 36.2 million tonnes. The total resources are comprised of 27.1 million tonnes of indicated resources and 9.1 million tonnes of inferred resources.

The HREO concentration represents 85% of TREO, which is high relative to other projects. Dysprosium represents 9% of the TREO content, but it represents more than half the total value of the contained rare earths. Yttrium and Dysprosium represent 66% of the in-situ value of the REOs.

The high levels of HREOs and higher prices associated with HREOs, particularly Dysprosium and Yttrium, are the key drivers of the value of the Hastings Project, and a major differentiator to other advanced rare earth projects with lower HREO concentrations.

Yangibana Light Rare Earths Project - The project is located 270 km north-northwest of Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The project hosts extensive outcropping ironstone lenses that host light rare earth mineralisation of which the critical rare earth neodymium comprises around 25%.

Following the Company’s major Pre-Feasibility Study drilling programme, Hastings’ geological consultant, CoxsRocks Pty Limited, completed JORC resource estimates covering the majority of the deposits that the Company has drilled to date. The density of drilling is now sufficient for a large portion of the resources at Bald Hill South, Fraser’s, Yangibana West and Yangibana North deposits to be classified as Indicated Resources.
