Description

Wolf Minerals Limited is an ASX-listed (ASX: WLF) speciality metals exploration and development company. The Company’s core focus is its 100%-owned Hemerdon Ball tungsten and tin project in Devon, in the south west of the UK. The Hemerdon project is one of the largest tungsten and tin deposits in the world, and Wolf aims to develop the project into a low cost, long term mining operation. The Company also has one tin and tungsten exploration project in New South Wales. Wolf is committed to building shareholder value through the aggressive, focused development of its existing projects, while also seeking to expand its operations through the acquisition of new projects.

Hemerdon Mine

Hemerdon is one of the largest tungsten and tin resources in the western world. Hemerdon is located in the South West of England. The development of this project moves Wolf towards becoming a world class tungsten and tin producer. Hemerdon Mine is near Plympton in Devon and lies to the north of the villages of Sparkwell and Hemerdon adjacent to large Imerys china clay pits.

Burrandana

The first record of discovery of mineralisation in the field was in 1872 when lease applications were taken out over the tin lodes on Clifton Hill, now known as the Victory Tin Mine. Prospecting on the Burrandana veins began in 1880 where approximately 100 different reefs have been worked at various stages until 1959. Total recorded tin production, mainly from the Victory Tin Mine is 6.235 tons which ceased in 1931. Total recorded production of tungsten concentrates from the field is 15.178 tons. The most recent work in the Burrandana field was conducted by The Shell Company of Australia Limited from 1979. Several programs of exploration mapping, sampling and drilling occurred as the region was considered prospective for a low-grade, large tonnage tin-tungsten deposit.
