?Tectonic is an established, ASX listed resource company focused on extracting value from its flagship Phillips River Project — a rich inventory of gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead.
Tectonic intends to create significant value for shareholders by developing the Phillips River Project into a substantial gold and base metal mining region. Tectonic has completed a definitive feasibility study for Phillips River demonstrating 10 years of operating life with substantial potential for increased Resource coming from additional targets within the region.
Phillips River Project
Phillips River (comprising Trilogy and Kundip), is Tectonic's flagship project and offers an established and diverse resource base with the capacity for near term low-cost production.
Tectonic aims to realise value for shareholders by developing Phillips River into a significant gold and base metals production centre in southern Western Australia.
Tectonic has completed a definitive feasibility study for Phillips River demonstrating 10 years of operating life. Current exploration and evaluation programs will aim to prove up resources that will increase operating life beyond the current 10 years of Reserve.
Tectonic is committed to developing Phillips River and bringing the project into production. The Company is targeting development in 2012 and production in 2013.
Phillips River Project Resources & PotentialRAV 8 Nickel Mine
Tectonic's RAV 8 Nickel Mine, a combined open cut and underground mining operation, successfully produced a total of 16,129 tonnes of nickel from 468,131 tonnes of ore at a grade of 3.45% nickel during the life of the mine.
In January 2007, Tectonic entered into an exploration farm in agreement with Mincor Resources NL allowing Mincor to earn an 80% equity interest in the RAV 8 Nickel Mine by spending $5 million on exploration within a three year period. Mincor agreed to pay $700,000 in cash and subscribe to 10 million Tectonic shares at 13 cents a share. Equity will convert to Mincor upon the full exploration expenditure being met within the timeframe.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tectonic retains ownership of the RAV 8 mine infrastructure.
