Synergy Metals Ltd is an Australian mineral exploration company and has been quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) with the code of ‘SML’ since 20 November 2001.
Synergy Metals is a major tenement holder in the East Gippsland region of Victoria, with five Exploration Licences and one Mining Lease covering a total of 1,072.7 square kilometres, and includes the new EL application (EL5300) covering the northern extension of the Banimboola Pluton near Dartmouth.
These tenements include the historically significant gold mines and old workings at Glen Wills and Sunnyside which produced more than 235,000 ounces of gold from 1888 to the 1960s at grades in excess of 15 g/t. Since 2004 Synergy has undertaken various exploration programs and in 2009 issued a JORC compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 103,250 ounces contained gold and 118,100 ounces of silver.
The region has historically hosted many minerals including gold, silver, tin, copper, zinc, lead, tungsten and molybdenum.
