Rey Resources Limited (Rey Resources) is an Australian Stock Exchange (ASX)-listed resource exploration and development company (ASX: REY) with interests in the Canning Basin, Western Australia. The company’s leases in this resource rich region are known to host thermal coal deposits.
Rey Resources’ exploration leases are about 175km to the south-east of the port town of Derby. This is a semi-arid region which borders the Great Sandy Desert to the south and is host to a diversity of natural, cultural and economic interests including existing pastoral stations and mining operations.
The company’s first major project is the potential Duchess Paradise Project, situated on the Liveringa Pastoral Station about 30km south of the Great Northern Highway between Derby and Fitzroy Crossing.
Rey Resources’ strategy is to develop an export focused operation selling high quality thermal coal to power generation customers in Asia. Rey Resources has in place an experienced project development team to manage the required approvals, stakeholder relationships, project definition and feasibility, design and development.
Rey Resources was incorporated in 2005 to acquire coal exploration assets in the Canning Basin, Western Australia. The company listed on the ASX on 5 June 2006. Rey Resources acquired its initial coal leases in the Canning Basin in 2005 and since this date has continued to build its lease position.
