Description

Redstone Resources Limited (ASX Code: RDS) is a mineral exploration company based in Perth, Western Australia. The company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 3rd August 2006. Redstone Resources is concentrating its exploration in two regions, the Musgrave Block in Central Australia and the Amazon Craton in South America. Redstone holds an exploration portfolio in the Western Musgrave Region of Australia over an area of 2,200km2, which is highly prospective for Ni-Cu-PGE and IOCG style mineralisation. The company holds tenements prospective for phosphorous and potassium in the Amazon Basin, and iron and nickel in the Amazon Craton.

Redstone in Australia

The team at Redstone has secured an extensive and strategic portfolio of highly prospective properties in the West Musgraves Region in Western Australia, totalling approximately 2,200km2. The West Musgraves Region is still one of the least explored Proterozoic terranes in Australia, representing a unique and unparalleled opportunity for greenfields exploration and the potential discovery of world-class deposits.

* The West Musgraves Region has the appropriate geological setting to potentially host world-class Voisey's Bay Ni-Cu-PGE type deposits and Olympic Dam-type iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG) deposits.

* Discovery of the Nebo and Babel Ni-Cu-PGE deposits within the first year of on-ground exploration by WMC and prefeasibility studies at the giant Wingellina Ni-laterite deposit validates the district as an emerging major mineral province.

* Prior to the commencement of Redstone's exploration program, mineral exploration using modern techniques and exploration models had never been applied to the bulk of the Redstone Tenement Package.

* The project areas have relatively shallow cover and are amenable to modern geochemical and geophysical techniques, allowing for rapid and efficient mineral exploration.

* Formal access agreements with the indigenous Land Council administering the Ngaanyatjarra Reserve are in place for the central Tollu, Blackstone Range, Baggaley Hills and Murray Hills Projects.

* Since listing on the ASX, the Company has been conducting on-ground exploration in the West Musgraves Region. Redstone has completed: seven access clearances with the traditional owners; over 9,000 geochemical samples over 7 tenements; two ground EM surveys; detailed aeromagnetic surveys across the southern part of the project; acquisition of over 2,500km2 of additional tenements; extensive geological mapping and geological studies; and over 23,000 metres of RAB and RC drilling.

Redstone in South America

Redstone Resources has recently acquired four exploration projects in the Amazon region of Brazil, targeting potassium, phosphate, iron ore and nickel. They are:

* Aneba Project: Potassium in Permian salt diapirs in northern Amazon Basin;
* Apui Project: Phosphate in Palaeozoic Basin south-eastern Amazon State;
* Pontal Project: Iron ore in Siderian Basin to the west of Carajas mineral province; and
* Trombetas Project: Potassium in Amazon Basin.
