NSL Consolidated is an Australian public company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: NSL) focused on developing an iron ore mining and related infrastructure company in India.
The Company’s strategy is founded on prudent, staged investment into the unique Indian market. By building a portfolio of low cost, high quality projects, NSL plans to generate near terms cash flows and a platform for long term growth.
In support of NSL Consolidated's clear focus on prudent, staged investment into the Indian mining industry the company has developed and enacted a multi-tiered rigid project and time driven process/methodology to ensure shareholder value is created in the short term, whilst building a platform for sustainable growth in the medium to long term.
Projects being identified as potential mining operations will typically have the following characteristics:
* Reported Resource - an identifiable iron ore (hematite) resource supported by both current and historical exploration data and reported to the Geological Survey of India and the Indian Bureau of Mines;
* Upside - potential upside in the mineral inventory due to historical exploration activities only supporting current/proposed production and generally only occurring to shallow depths (less than 30 metres);
* Operating - either currently active or able to be producing within 6 months of acquisition settlement
* Infrastructure - close to required infrastructure, resulting in minimal upfront investment
Although heavily focussed in the Indian state of Goa, activities are continuing across India.
