Description
Lonrho Mining formerly Nare Diamonds, is an Australian company with a diamond exploration asset in southern Africa. The name change reflects a new strategy to selectively acquire exploration and producing mining assets over the African continent whilst adding significant value to its existing diamond assets through exploration success and trial mining activities.
The Lulo Diamond Concession is a highly prospective 3,000km² diamond concession which Lonrho Mining intends to develop, with Endiama, the national diamond company of Angola. Lulo is surrounded by concessions which are operated by the largest diamond companies in the world, including De Beers, Trans Hex and Alrosa. Lulo is highly regarded for the following reasons:
* 29 known kimberlite pipes and artisanal alluvial mining within the concession.
* a world class location, Lulo is adjacent to the Alto Cuilo and Luange concessions.
* work program designed to complete aero-magnetic survey and follow up with bulk sampling and drilling.
