Golden West Resources is focusing on developing mining infrastructure for a high-grade, low-impurity hematite iron deposit in Western Australia's emerging Mid-West iron province, with a total Mineral Resource Estimate of 147.7 Mt at 59.1% Fe.

Wiluna West Iron Project

The Wiluna project hosts a large high grade iron deposit within five separate horizons, Units A, B, C, D, and E that have a cumulative strike length of 125km. Golden West Wiluna West Project comprises 440km² of tenements, 30km south of Wiluna, covering a 45km strike of the Joyners Find Greenstone belt. The Wiluna region hosts significant gold, nickel, lead, uranium and iron ore mineralisation. The Wiluna West Project resource of 147.7 Mt at 59.1% Fe has deleterious elements within sales specifications, and is contained within two iron ore ridges, Unit B and Unit C and collectively within nine ore bodies.

Wiluna West Gold Project

In mid 2010, GWR announced a 230% increase in Inferred and Indicated gold Resource Estimates to further advance the Company's plans to progress the development of a gold mining operation. A CSA Global review of the known Wiluna West gold deposits, other than the deposits reported upon in March 2010, has raised the Company's total gold Mineral Resource estimate to 3,478,000 tonnes @ 2.3g/t for a contained 258,000 oz at a 1g/t cut off.
