Description
Desert Energy’s aim is to discover high-value mineral deposits in order to create wealth for its shareholders. The Company is currently focused on projects which it considers are prospective for iron ore gold, nickel, PGE and uranium mineralisation.
To assist in reducing risk, the Company has a preference for projects with known indications of mineralisation. Following data review, tenements and tenement applications are generally ranked. Those selected for the Company’s exploration portfolio are:
- considered for inclusion in its exploration budget for direct exploration by Desert Energy;
- offered for joint venture;
- or considered for spin-off into an IPO, with Desert Energy retaining equity in the new entity;
As appropriate, with a view to maximizing value for the Company. Tenements which are not considered to be within the Company’s requirements or funding capabilities will be earmarked for relinquishment.
Camel Hills Project-Joint Venture with Aurora Minerals
The Camel Hills Project covers part of the northwest margin of the Archaean Yilgarn Block and adjacent Errabiddy Shear Zone. Previous exploration has been limited to reconnaissance sampling for magnetite-iron, gold and copper-nickel which has yielded numerous anomalies and targets for follow-up and possible drill-testing.
Glenburgh Project – Uranium-Copper-Gold Project
- Four major mineralized shear zones highly anomalous in U, base metals and gold, intersect in Aurora’s 1266 km2 project
- Magnetics-radiometrics Survey designed to delineate targets for Mary Kathleen uranium and Ernest Henry copper –gold – style deposits
- Geological similarities to Cloncurry District, Mt Isa Inlier in Queensland
- Drill targets to follow
