The main objective of the company is to discover and exploit gold or other mineral resources that can be mined for an attractive rate of return.
* Primary focus on gold and on large copper-gold porphyry
* Tenements cover old goldfield with a historical production up to 100 tonnes of gold
* Targets defined based on previous exploration
* The Inglewood tenement is an extension of the Gympie Goldfield, under-explored
* Previously identified deposit of 2.2 Mt @ 4.2 g/t in the Bobo tenement
* Identified association between gold lodes at Croydon, Qld, with magnetic and conductive formations
* Includes the Temora Goldfield, on the Gilmore Suture
* Includes the Parkes-Forbes Goldfield, part of the larger recently announced Tomingly-Peak Hill line of gold mineralization
* Two large coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies, similar is size to Northparkes and Cowal
* Senior management with over 100 years of worldwide exploration experience
* Focus on the Lachlan Fold Belt, and eastern Australia
EL7462 – Bobo
Centius holds EL7462 Bobo, NSW. The Bobo tenement was selected on the basis of a report prepared by Weedon, a mining engineer; he summarized the potential of the Orara-Coramba Goldfield. He pointed out that while the field was known for high grade quartz reef style gold mineralization the average over the life of the field was 34 g/t gold, there was also the potential for a large low grade deposit.
EMP18447 – Gympie
Centius holds EMP18447 that covers the NW extension of the Gympie Goldfield, SE Queensland. The Gympie Goldfield had a recorded production of 116 tonnes of gold (3.73 million oz) from 4.5 Mt @ an average grade of 25.8 g/t gold. There were 1500 recorded shafts sunk in the Gympie Goldfield, an area 3 Km by 7 Km. The Centius tenement, EPM18447, adjoins and covers the northern part of the Gympie Goldfield, with the geology and geophysical signatures almost identical.
EL 7486 – Copeland
Centius holds Pullabooka and Forbes in Lachlan Fold Belt, NSW. The Pullabooka and Forbes tenements have a common mineralization model, namely a southerly extension of the Peak-Hill - Tomingley gold mineralization zone (6.83 Mt @ 2.43 g/t Au, or 480,000 ozs Au), part of the Parkes-Forbes goldfield. The Parkes-Forbes goldfield produced 24.5 tons of gold, with 9.33 tons of gold from the Forbes area. There are 22 old gold workings in the tenement including some of which were alluvial deep leads.
EL7454 – Spiral
The Spiral tenement held by Centius in Lachlan Fold Belt, NSW continues on a coincident circular magnetic feature and gravity low. This has been mapped as the Mishurley Creek Granite intruding the Frampton Volcanics. Surrounding the circular geophysical feature is a circular range of hills. This matches the geological and geophysical models of the Northparkes, Cadia-Ridgeway and Cowal porphyry deposits.
EL 7589 – Bimbi
The Bimbi tenement held by Centius in the Lachlan Fold Belt, NSW was selected on the basis of a combined magnetic and gravity interpretation of the Forbes 1:250,000 sheet, assuming a Northparkes porphyry style mineralization model. At Northparkes there is a large intrusive, with multiple smaller late stage, or post, intrusive pipes or plugs. The late stage bodies intrude weaknesses in the larger body and the roof pendent. This has generated a large copper/gold resources.
Centius holds EL7459 on the Gilmore Suture in the Lachlan Fold Belt, NSW. The Temora tenement covers a known goldfield located on the Gilmore Suture. The Gilmore Suture is a series of parallel structures or splays, presumably linked at depth that is a focus of gold mines and discoveries eg Gidginbung 700,000 ounces Au production. Also the mineralization may be displaced several kilometers from the structure.
EL7458 - Junee
Centius holds EL7458, Junee, Lachlan Fold Belt , NSW. The Junee tenement extends across the Gilmore Suture which host numerous gold deposits in NSW. The tenement extends to the north to the Junee Reef and Dobroyde epithermal gold deposits and east to the Kurrajong epithermal deposits.
EL 7590 Pullabooka and EL 7591 Forbes
The hardrock deposits are classified as either, saddle reefs similar to Bendigo and Ballarat or veins associated with intrusives. To the north of the tenement the Parkes style of mineralization is directly associated with andesite intrusions.
EL7460 – Lunatic Goldfield
Centius holds EL7460, in the New England area of NSW. The major gold and base metal deposits of the Lunatic Goldfield containing 50 old workings are located in the Emu Creek Formation, on the contact zone with the intruded Bruxner Adamellite. Based on the magnetic data this is a blind cupola of the Bruxner Adamellite under the Battery Creek area, the probable source of the mineralized fluids.
EL 7592 - Turon
The Turon tenement held by Centius is located east of Hill End, NSW. The Hill End style of gold mineralization is associated with an anticlinal structure in the Hill End Trough. In most cases the mineral deposits are locate near the base of the Crudine Group where there sedimentary formations overly the volcanics. A similar model applies to the Sofala area to the east where the Chesleigh Formation (Silurian sandstone, slate and mudstone) overly the Sofala Volcanics. The primary targets in the Turon tenement are saddle reef gold deposits, similar to the Big Nugget Hill Project at Hargraves in anticlinal formations with a thin sedimentary cover over volcanic (bedrock) formations.
