Aquarius Platinum Ltd is a focused platinum group metals producer with projects in Africa and Zimbabwe. Reserves stand at 8.68Moz PGM and resources stand at 18.10Moz PGM. Attributable production in 2008 was 500,203PGM oz and the company is the world's fourth largest primary platinum producer which has propelled it into the top 200 ASX companies. The Kroondal mine (67.5%) is located in South Africa and reserves attributable to the company stand at 2.82Moz 4 PGE with a mine life to 2017. Production to the year ending 2008 was 391,117oz PGM.The Marikana Mine is located 8km away from the Kroondal mine and total reserves attributable to the company stand at 1.77Moz 4E PGE. Production attributable to the company for FY 08 was 62,791. The Everest Mine is located in South Africa's Mpumalnga Province and total reserves attributable to the company stand at for 2.11Moz 4E PGE. Total attributable production: 157,995oz PGM. Mining has been suspended at Everest. The Mimosa Mine (50%) is located in Zimbabwe and total reserves attributable the company were 1.98Moz 4E PGE. Total attributable production was 75,416oz PGM. The company's mining operations have been recently been affected by power disruptions in South Africa.
