Description
Allied Gold Limited is a growing Pacific Rim gold producer with production, exploration and development projects in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
In Papua New Guinea, the Simberi gold mine is 60km from Lihir Island in the Tabar Islands group. In the Solomon Islands, the $150 million refurbishment of the 120,000 ozpa Gold Ridge mine is well underway, with first gold due in early 2011.
By March 2011, Allied will be producing at a rate of +200,000 ozpa with options to increase group output to in excess of +300,000 ozpa.
Allied is a listed company on the ASX, the TSX and the London Stock Exchange (AIM).
1. Simberi (PNG)
Simberi is in the Tabar Islands group (60km from Lihir Island) in Papua New Guinea. Since production commenced in February 2008, Simberi has produced in excess of 150,000 ounces of gold.
2. Gold Ridge (Guadalcanal)
The A$150 million refurbishment of the 120,000 ozpa Gold Ridge project in the Solomon Islands is well underway with first gold expected in early 2011.
3. Exploration (PNG and Solomons)
Allied has exploration programmes in Tatau and Tabar Islands, adjacent to Simberi island, whilst in the Solomon Islands a regional programme around Gold Ridge has commenced.
