Main ForumGalaxy has strong day up 10%

  • Galaxy Resources (ASX:GXY) has had a strong day with good volume and a 10% rise. It seems as though people have read their ASX report on the 3/11/2011.

The advantages of the Lithium Ion batteries power to weight ratio is readily seen here....

    http://www.mobilemag.com/2011/11/06/the-world%E2%80%99s-first-electric-multicopter-flight/

  • Galaxy is off to another strong day up ~another 8% in morning trade on moderate volume.... seems like something is about to happen.

  • I believe that Galaxy will do well based solely on their mine. But a person first has to believe that the vertical integration model that they have put in place will deliver greater value. Personally I think it will but I'm not willing to bet my money on it.

The integration advantages are unquantifiable. Not for me but GO Galaxy.

The E-volo was fun to watch but I'm not sure it has any significance on .... just about anything.... other than a fun past time.

  • I think that the E-volo was meant to be a fun way to show how much power could be stored in quite small Lithium based batteries. However I wouldn't be surprised to see devices like it being used to check out oil and gas pipelines etc.

  • Agreed the E-volo shows a capacity and a possibility for the Li battery. The electric bike seems to be the real game for China.

As an investor I need to see the value in the vertical integration. I think it is likely there but I guess I'm a late investor when it comes to this sort of stuff.

  • Sparty, I know the value progression and I agree it will probably do well but it is not for me until I see some sales

  • And here they are Alite:

Payday for Galaxy 28th March 2012

PERTH, Mar 28 – Lithium miner Galaxy Resources expects the first big payday from its wholly owned Mt Cattlin project near Ravensthorpe in Western Australia when it ships a 27,000t consignment of spodumene concentrate to third parties in China in late April.

Galaxy says the plant and mine have consistently exceeded design capacity in the last fortnight as the ramp-up progresses at Mt Cattlin. At full capacity, Mt Cattlin will mine 1Mtpa of ore to produce 137,000tpa of spodumene concentrate for shipping to its wholly-owned Jiansgu Lithium Carbonate facility in China. http://www.highgrade.net/article/2012-03-21/Payday_for_Galaxy

    Company Release

  • Sparty: the Share price is at 76c... I see the value

If I was of a mind to buy shares in this market I would say GXY as it is good value.

But I want to buy GXY at 40c... Stupid people will sell it to me at that price after the panic to come.

    Happy Trading Alite
