Main ForumCTP & LNC to gain from Independent MP Tony Windsor's attack on CSM ?

  • By now the penny must be starting to drop that Coal Seam Methane extraction from coal fields below arable land is becoming a potent political problem. And today's raft of articles referencing Tony Windsor's threat to block the Mining Resources Rent Tax (MRRT) is an indication of how disruptive this could become.

To me the problem already has a solution> Extract CSM from coal beds under non-arable land. At the same time our state governments, and especially Qld's should have a closer look at UCG.

Several companies that I hold, including CTP and LNC, have vast coal and shale beds in some of Australia's most arid and uninhabited regions...... It seems to me to be a no-brainer that if a large company has signed off-take agreements and they are blocked by the emerging political fracas from fulfilling them then companies like CTP, LNC etc have much to gain.

  • Sparty, I like that you have put in an opinion and I completely agree with your comments.

(This is fun for me to say as I often test the strength of your comments but this time I have nothing to test: it is just right)
